EAP

This committee is focused on enhancing the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for IAM District 142. Their key objectives include strengthening support for the 26,000 union members by improving mental health resources, communication, and accessibility of EAP services. The committee aims to address mental health challenges, provide better support for members dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, and other personal issues, and create a more comprehensive and proactive EAP program.

The Education Committee is focused on improving learning and professional development opportunities for union members.

Human Rights

The committee aims to create a more inclusive, supportive, and equitable environment for all union members by addressing systemic workplace issues and promoting human rights principles.

Legislative

The committee aims to mobilize union members to support legislation that benefits labor and oppose legislation that could harm workers' rights and interests.

Organizing

This is the Organizing Committee for District 142, focused on improving and standardizing organizing efforts across local lodges in the air transportation territory. Their key goals include creating more consistent internal and external organizing strategies, recruiting and training organizers, establishing clear guidelines for organizing work, and expanding union visibility in local communities. The committee aims to strengthen union efforts by providing better support, resources, and coordination for organizers across different local lodges.

Safety

This is the District Safety Committee for IAM (International Association of Machinists) District 142. The committee focuses on occupational safety and health concerns for union members across different locals and companies.
